Onetaxi

Onetaxi: a taxi app with round trips, license plate selection, female drivers, and pet-friendly cars

Context

Competing with Uber and 99 takes more than a taxi app. Onetaxi entered the market with differentiators designed for situations the major players did not address well, with taxi drivers as part of the solution.

What we built

  • Scheduled round-trip rides, without waiting for the return trip.
  • License plate selection: passengers choose the taxi they can see, addressing the gap between user and driver.
  • A female driver option, for female passenger safety.
  • Specific vehicle options: seven seats, accessible vehicles, and pet-friendly cars.
  • Driver-initiated rides: taxi drivers start a ride for passengers at the taxi stand.
  • A web management platform: user and driver administration, approvals and blocks, and daily and monthly financial reports for drivers.

The challenge

Bringing meaningful differentiators to a market whose standards had already been set by its leaders, with a complete platform — two apps and management — robust enough for a fleet's daily operations.

Results

A mobility platform with features competitors did not offer, serving passengers and taxi drivers with financial and operational management behind the scenes. Built in partnership with Onetaxi's entrepreneurs.
